"Lactis" is a co-cultivation of 16 strains of lactic acid bacteria, carried out using patented enzyme technology. Soy milk, free of pesticides and organic fertilizers, is fermented in the medium for a year, after which the fermentation product of the lactic acid bacteria is extracted. This fermentation product does not contain live lactic acid bacteria, but their secretion (the extract that lactic acid bacteria produce) and bacterial cellular substance (lactic acid cellular material).

Most of the material is normal viable lactic acid bacteria; even if killed lactic acid bacteria populate the intestines, they do not colonize it in most cases, since they are transit flora.
